District 87 elementary schools will be hosting a kindergarten open house for all incoming kindergartners for the 2024-25 school year on April 9th from 4 pm to 6 pm.
Kindergarten Registration Open House allows incoming students and their families to visit their future school, meet teachers, gather information about kindergarten, and ask questions!
Online registration will open on April 8, 2024. Online registration can be completed at home, or if assistance is needed, can be completed at the school on the day of the kindergarten open house.
Online registration will need to be completed to register for kindergarten for the 2024/2025 school year. Online registration information for the 2024-25 school year can be found here.
Who is eligible to enroll in kindergarten for the 2024/25 school year? Children reaching the age of five (5) on or before September 1st are eligible for enrollment in kindergarten
When? April 9th from 4 pm to 6 pm.
Where? At each elementary school (Students will go to the open house at the school they will be attending based on their address).
Required Forms needed: (required forms can be uploaded during the online registration process or brought to the school on kindergarten open house day)

Students who turn 5 after the state deadline of September 1st may be considered for accelerated placement in kindergarten. The accelerated placement of students is based on academic, social, emotional, and physical readiness.
