🎶🎄🎻What do you get when you combine the BHS orchestra and choir? A Holiday Spectacular!
Last night, the BHS orchestra, choi,r and guitar ensemble took the stage to showcase their incredible talents. Performing both separately and together, they filled the evening with holiday tunes that were music to the ears!
Thank you to all the talented musicians for bringing the holiday spirit to life and to their amazing teachers/conductors, Mr. Mosley (choir) and Mr. Mackinder (orchestra and guitar)!

The BHS Student Council and BHS clubs are hosting "Raiders Helping Raiders" food drive Nov. 10-14 to support BHS families. Drop off food or grocery store gift card donations from 7 AM–3 PM at the front desk, main office, north bus doors, guidance office, or classrooms.

🏀✨ The wait is over! Monday kicks off the season for the BHS Girls' Basketball team, and we are thrilled to welcome our new varsity head coach, Christina Mables! 🎉👏
Coach Mables brings an incredible wealth of experience both on and off the court:
👉 Principal at Cedar Ridge Elementary School in Unit 5
👉 Former collegiate athlete at the University of Texas El Paso, where she helped lead the team to a Conference USA Championship and an NCAA March Madness appearance in 2008
👉 Transferred to Union University, leading the team to back-to-back NAIA National titles in 2009 & 2010.
👉 Her leadership extended off the court, with administrative roles in Rantoul and Champaign Unit 4 school districts, all while making time to coach!
From the classroom to the court, Coach Mables is a true leader, and we can’t wait to see what she’ll bring to BHS- let’s go, Lady Raiders!

🍎📘 An inspiring day for BHS Future Teachers Club at Illinois Wesleyan, led by BHS teacher, Sondra Findley! Nine aspiring teachers participated in an Educational Studies class, taught mini lessons, toured the campus, and enjoyed a "lunch & learn" at the Saga cafeteria.
Hopefully, we will have some of these students teaching in D87 one day!🍎👨🏽🏫

📚🔐 Escape Room Fun at BHS!
Ms. Siemientkowski and Mrs. Brady transformed the library into a thrilling escape room for Banned Books Week! After a lesson on why books are challenged and banned, students worked in teams to complete an escape room, using clues and navigating books in the library that are frequently banned and challenged across the US to get a prize! 🏆🕵️♀️
