Attention 8th Grade Students!

Animal Rescue Club

The BJHS Animal Rescue Club is holding a donation drive . This month we are supporting the Humane Society of Central Illinois. A guest speaker came to visit our cluband they informed us that there is an amazing network of rescues that all work together to make sure they have everything they need. We are looking for new fleece blankets, dog and cat toys, and canned dog and cat food.

If you haven't heard yet, the BJHS spring musical will be Spongebob, the musical and you are invited to audition to participate! Auditions for Spongebob will be held next Tuesday and Wednesday and information for the auditions can be found on the flyers around the school, or you can ask your roundtable teacher or email Mr. Thomason or Mrs. Rosendahl.

Drama Club

Fall play students should continue attending drama club on Monday afternoons until 3:45 p.m. to rehearse for the December concert and beginning preparations for the spring musical. If you haven't already made arrangements to be picked up by 4:00 p.m., please do so at this time.

Volleyball Open Gym and Try-outs

Three girls volleyball open gyms will be held in November on the 18th, 20th and 25th from 3:00-4:30. Tryouts for girls volleyball will be held the first week of December.  6th Graders will tryout on Monday, December 2nd and 7th/8th Grade tryouts will tryout on December 3rd & 4th.  All participants must have an up-to-date physical on file and be registered with 8-18 on the Athletics website.   For more information, see Coach Tippett in the 7B pod.

Boy's basketball tryouts begin today. 6/7th grade tryouts from 3-4:30pm and 8th grade from 4:30-6pm. 8th graders can either go home after school or remain in the cafeteria until 4:30pm under the supervision of one of the coaches. 2025 Washington D.C. Trip

There will be an informational meeting for the 2025 Washington D.C. trip tomorrow, September 24th, at 6:00 p.m. in the BJHS Cafeteria. This trip is open to all current 7th and 8th grade students. This meeting will contain information for families who has a student that is interested in the trip. Students attending the meeting must have a parent/guardian present. 2025 Washington D.C. Trip

There will be an informational meeting for the 2025 Washington D.C. trip tomorrow, September 24th, at 6:00 p.m. in the BJHS Cafeteria. This trip is open to all current 7th and 8th grade students. BJHS Cheerleading Tryouts

BJHS Cheerleading tryouts will be today and tomorrow from 3:00 - 5:00. Attendance is required both days, however on Tuesday you may leave once you finish your tryout. Tryouts will be held at the BHS South Gym. You must be registered on 8 to 18 and have a physical on file with the school.

Bus Passes

Bus passes will be passed out to bus riders today in roundtable. Riders will be required to show the pass to the bus driver beginning tomorrow, September 5th. We suggest that riders take a picture of it with their phone or store it in their laptop bag since it is a requirement to have it to show to the driver everyday .

Crochet and Craft Club
