Hello D87 Family, We want to remind you that Election Day is Tuesday, April 1, and as it approaches, District 87 and school districts across McLean County are reminding residents to cast their ballot. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1 and early voting is available leading up to Election Day.  McLean County has two separate election jurisdictions: The McLean County Clerk’s Office handles elections for all areas except the City of Bloomington.  Early voting available at the McLean County Clerk’s Office on: Saturday, March 29: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sunday, March 30: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Monday, March 31: 8:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 1 - Election Day - Vote 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at your designated polling location. 🔍🦉 "What in the world is that?" That is what Sheridan 1st graders were asking as they dissected owl pellets with the help of their 4th-grade buddies! 🦴👀 And what did they find? The Evangelical Free Church once again hosted Sheridan's Annual Trunk or Treat event on October 24th. Sheridan Sharks and their families met on the Sheridan blacktop and were able to choose from 19 different trunks full of candy. Members of the Bloomington Fire Department and the Bloomington Police Department were also on hand to pass out candy to our Sharks. A big thank you to E-Free Church for sponsoring this family event!

Today, the Sheridan Sharks kicked off their Friday with waves of smiles, thanks to the newly formed PTO's sharktastic welcome initiative - High Fin Friday! 🌊🦈 Members of the PTO, therapy dogs, and some incredible BHS athletes were all on deck, giving out high fins and spreading smiles 🐾😄 as the Sharks swam into school this morning. 🦈🎉Today Sheridan ended their day in a sea of blue with a “sharktastic” assembly that was all about school spirit! 🌟 Every student received brand new sharkwear— an awesome Sheridan T-shirt to wear on Sharkwear Wednesdays! Added bonus- some Bloomington High School football players joined the festivities to help celebrate this fantastic day by giving words of encouragement and even throwing out some jerseys to their fans! 🏈 A huge thank you to all the community organizations who made t-shirts for all Sheridan students possible.
