🌟Last but not least of our 7 D87 School Board Members, join us in applauding Dr. Cathy Lust, who was appointed to the School Board in April 2023. Her prior regular attendance at District 87 School Board Meetings demonstrated her dedication to serving the students and community. Driven by the desire to make decisions in the best interest of our students, Dr. Lust decided to step forward and become a member of the School Board.
Dr. Lust's connection to District 87 runs deep. She attended Washington School, Bloomington Junior High (in the old building), and proudly graduated from BHS. In fact, she even worked as the School Psychologist at Bloomington Junior High School before retiring! With her vast knowledge of D87, Dr. Lust truly knows the ins and outs of our district.
When asked about the most important thing for students to know about the role of the School Board, Dr. Lust expresses her desire for students to love school, make academic and social-emotional growth, and have incredible educational experiences. With her passion for promoting student success and well-being, we know Dr. Lust will be a champion for our students.
Beyond her commitment to education, Dr. Lust also finds time to give back to our community. She volunteers at Miller Park Zoo and other local organizations. At home, she cherishes spending quality time with her husband John, and their adorable dog, Addie.

Impulsada por el deseo de tomar decisiones en beneficio de nuestros estudiantes, la Dra. Lust decidió dar un paso adelante y convertirse en miembro de la Junta Escolar.
La conexión de la Dra. Lust con el Distrito 87 es profunda. Asistió a la Escuela Washington y a la Secundaria Bloomington (en el edificio antiguo) y se graduó con orgullo de BHS.
