Meet Malik Jones, not only a standout 7th-grade math teacher at BJHS, but also a beacon of service and leadership in his Iota Phi Theta fraternity. 📚✨
🔹 Mr. Jones has been a member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity for 28 years. His journey began at Illinois State University, where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees and also started on a path of service and brotherhood with his fraternity while there.
One of his favorite memories is his initiation night. Mr. Jones spent in service, during the "Sleep out for the Homeless" project on the ISU quad - what an awesome way to begin his brotherhood with the Iota Phi Theta!
Active in community service, Mr. Jones and his fraternity regularly team up with Divine 9 groups to feed the needy and participate in St. Jude walkathons. They also volunteer to help keep the Bloomington Housing Authority spick and span. 🍽️🧹
🤝🏆As Vice Polaris of his chapter, Mr. Jones leads with intent and inspires change.
Here's to Mr. Jones, shaping minds in the classroom and making a difference in the community! His story is a great example of how the values of the Divine 9 shine through in our educators and community leaders.
