Last night, we had the privilege of hosting the remarkable Academic Night, where we honored the juniors and seniors who have achieved a GPA of 4.4 and above. We also acknowledged the dedicated adults who have made a significant impact on their academic journey – including amazing teachers, coaches, siblings, parents, and more! 🏆📖
But that's not all! We are thrilled to announce that three exceptional BHS students have earned national recognition for their outstanding performance on College Board Exams. Let's give a big round of applause to Ariana Rider, for receiving the National Hispanic Award, as well as Jayla Westhoff and Kamorah Carter, who were recognized with the National African American Recognition Awards. 🎉👏

In Mrs. Findley's African American History class, BHS juniors and seniors embarked on an exciting literary journey to kick off the school year! They immersed themselves in the world of verse novels, discovering the power of storytelling through poetry. 🌟💫
Two students, Garrick Dickerson and Chance French, read the "Long Way Down" by Jason Reynolds, and their thoughtful analysis of the book in 3 lines earned them the well-deserved titles of Haiku Poetry Winners! 🎉🏆

🎉🎒 BHS hosted Freshmen Connection last night! 🏫 The evening gave incoming freshmen and their parents an insight into life at BHS. 🤝 Students had the opportunity to ask questions about being a Raider to a peer group while Principal Moore spoke to parents and had a Q & A about high school life. 👨👩👧👦 Our newest Purple Raiders had the chance to see all the various clubs, activities, and sports offered, and speak to student peers about becoming involved. 💜 A great start to the year for our BHS freshmen! 🌟
