Museums for All

Affordable Museum Admission

The Children’s Discovery Museum is excited to announce that we have joined Museums for All!  Museums for All is a cooperative initiative between the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to offer a signature access program that will encourage families of all background to visit museums frequently and build lifelong museum learning habits.

Illinois families that qualify for nutrition food assistance such as SNAP, WIC, and Link, may present their benefit card and valid ID to register for a Museums for All Pass. Each visit families can present their pass for $3 admission for up to 6 people, discounts on education programs, camps, special events, birthday parties, access to Member Mondays and a free subscription to the Museum Newsletter!

Through this program, we can inspire the love of learning through the power of play to everyone. A museum visit can inspire the development of new skills and interest in a child and can ignite their creativity and social connections. By reducing the financial barrier, Museums for All helps close the social and academic gaps some children face when they are not exposed to high quality early education opportunities.

More than 250 institutions participate in this initiative and we are overjoyed with the opportunity to be a part of it! To join this program, visit the Children’s Discovery Museum and simply present your food assistance card along with a valid form of Identification and fill out the Registration Form. You can click here to print off the Registration Form and fill out ahead of time.
