The next retiree D87 would like to recognize is Suzanne Daniels, our current Director of Human Resources. Suzanne has been in the D87 Human Resources Department for a whopping 39 years! Suzanne started here as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Personnel back in 1984 when she was still a teenager. After the director retired, his position wasn’t replaced and Suzanne was promoted to Personnel Specialist. While in this position, she took night classes at ISU to earn her degree, and the rest is history, she went on to be the first (and so far only!) Director of Human Resources for D87! Fun Fact: Suzanne was thrilled to be one of the first D87 employees to receive a computer (outside the tech department) and was able to help others in the district get acclimated to this “new” technology! Suzanne’s life after D87 will include avoiding email, sleeping in, “funlaxing”, and not always thinking about what is next. Her new full-time job will be taking care of herself, connecting with old friends, and living life to the fullest!
Suzanne has worked for D87 for ⅔’s of her life, and now can’t wait to see what’s next for her! Her favorite thing about working in the district are the lifelong friendships she made and of course, spring break! Thank you for your 39 years of service and enjoy your retirement, Suzanne! El próximo jubilado al D87 le gustaría reconocer a Suzanne Daniels, nuestra actual Directora de Recursos Humanos. ¡Suzanne ha estado en el Departamento de Recursos Humanos del D87 durante 39 años! Suzanne comenzó aquí como Asistente Administrativa del Director de Personal en 1984 cuando aún era una adolescente. Después de que el director se retiró, su puesto no fue reemplazado y Suzanne fue ascendida a Especialista en personal. Mientras estuvo en este puesto, tomó clases nocturnas en ISU para obtener su título, y el resto es historia, pasó a ser la primera (¡y hasta ahora única!) Directora de Recursos Humanos del D87. Dato curioso: ¡Suzanne estaba encantada de ser una de las primeras empleadas del D87 en recibir una computadora (fuera del departamento de tecnología) y pudo ayudar a otros en el distrito a acostumbrarse a esta "nueva" tecnología! La vida de Suzanne después de D87 incluirá evitar el correo electrónico, dormir hasta tarde, "relajarse" y no pensar siempre en lo que sigue. ¡Su nuevo trabajo de tiempo completo será cuidar de sí misma, conectarse con viejos amigos y vivir la vida al máximo!
Suzanne ha trabajado para D87 durante dos tercios de su vida, ¡Y ahora no puede esperar a ver qué sigue para ella! Lo que más le gusta de trabajar en el distrito son las amistades de por vida que hizo y, por supuesto, ¡las vacaciones de primavera! ¡Gracias por tus 39 años de servicio y disfruta de tu jubilación, Suzanne! ¡Le deseamos todo lo mejor!
