New Staff Member Wednesday! D87 would like to welcome Juri Kirts to Stevenson where she is a teacher in the Developmental Learning Program (DLP)! Juri came to D87 from Lincoln District 27 and before that, she was a classroom teacher in Japan 🇯🇵, where she is originally from! She was drawn to D87 because we are the 3rd most diverse school district in the state and she is eager to celebrate and embrace that diversity!🥳💜
Fun Facts: Juri loves taking WerQ fitness classes and spending time with her family. She goes to Japan every summer with her son to visit relatives, and that gives her son the opportunity to attend elementary school there! And of course, the fresh sushi 🍣 in Japan is out of this world! (For anyone planning a trip to Japan, let Juri know, she will recommend what to eat!)
