🏠📐 Geometry Takes Shape in Mrs. White's 4th Grade! This holiday season, Washington's 4th-graders swapped gingerbread for geometry with their fabulous "Geometry Houses" project! 🎉 Each student designed a house, incorporating 25 geometry terms they learned this month. 🎄🚂 All Aboard! The Polar Express made a stop at Sheridan, bringing a very special visitor for our kindergarten and 1st-grade Sharks - Santa himself! The conductor was there, punching tickets and leading the way to a room filled with holiday cheer and the man in red. But the festivities didn’t stop there! Sharks of all grade levels joined in for hot chocolate and cookie decorating with their partner classrooms. It was a day of holiday magic for the entire shark family. Officer Mac, School Resource Officer for D87 elementary schools, has been popping into classrooms and recently paid a visit to Mrs. Floit's kindergarten class at Sheridan. He read a book about police officers, answered questions from the Sharks, and even gave out some police stickers to all the kiddos! While showing the class his tools, Officer Mac emphasized that his most crucial tool is "using his words" and building relationships. The students absolutely love Officer Mac!
