Retiree Recognition!
The next soon-to-be retiree D87 would like to recognize is Tom Frazier, the current Director of the Bloomington Area Career Center (BACC) and McLean DeWitt Regional Vocational System. Tom has been in this current position for the past 18 years. Before stepping into the director role he taught business at the BACC and BHS (where he started his career in education), making it a grand total of 29 years in D87! If you know Tom, you know he is a people person! He enjoys working with, talking to, and helping people, and these qualities, along with the fact that both his parents were educators, are what inspired him to enter a career in education. Tom says his favorite thing about working in D87 is that the students and his co-workers are all awesome! (We agree with you Tom!). Now that retirement is right around the corner, Tom is looking forward to traveling more and playing golf, as well as working part-time. Tom’s humor and wit will be missed in the halls and classrooms of the BACC, but we certainly wish him well in his retirement! Thank you for your 29 years of service and congratulations on your upcoming retirement Tom!
¡Reconocimiento a jubilados! El próximo jubilado que D87 quisiera reconocer es Tom Frazier, el actual Director del Centro de Carreras del Área de Bloomington (BACC) y el Sistema Vocacional Regional McLean DeWitt. Tom ha estado en esta posición actual durante los últimos 18 años. Antes de asumir el cargo de Director, enseñó negocios en BACC y BHS (donde comenzó su carrera en educación), lo que hace un total de 29 años en D87. Si conoces a Tom, ¡sabes que es una persona sociable! Le gusta trabajar, hablar y ayudar a las personas, y estas cualidades, junto con el hecho de que sus padres eran educadores, son lo que lo inspiró a ingresar a una carrera en educación. Tom dice que lo que más le gusta de trabajar en D87 es que los estudiantes y sus compañeros de trabajo son increíbles. (¡Estamos de acuerdo contigo Tom!). Ahora que la jubilación está a la vuelta de la esquina, Tom espera viajar más y jugar al golf, además de trabajar a tiempo parcial.
