🩺🚁The Junior Health Science Academy for select students at BJHS is up and running thanks to the support of the Black Nurses Association (BNA) of Central Illinois! This program is designed to inspire the next generation of healthcare heroes- 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ from exploring varied fields within healthcare to becoming CPR-certified. In a special career exploration day, students had the opportunity to get up close with an OSF LifeFlight helicopter 🚁 and explore EMS and paramedic trucks 🚑 from Bloomington and El Paso—all aimed at sparking curiosity and passion for lifesaving careers. Este programa está diseñado para inspirar a la próxima generación de héroes de la atención médica, desde explorar diversos campos dentro de la atención médica hasta obtener la certificación en RCP. 🇺🇸✨ In the spirit of honoring our heroes and veterans, the Bent 4th Graders held their annual Veteran's Day ceremony today, and it was a morning filled with pride, gratitude, and touching moments. 📚🌟 Mrs. Dobson led the event by reading "America's White Table" - a story that educates and reminds us of the sacrifices made by those who served. Following the reading, students had a special moment to recognize their family members who are veterans, some of whom joined us for a special breakfast.
