As students and staff celebrated this milestone day, Miss Killian's kindergarten class at Washington was in for an extra special surprise. They FaceTimed with Miss Killian’s 100-year-old grandfather, Papa Marvin Bower! And the cherry on top? Papa Marvin Bower went to Washington too- he once walked the same halls they walk now! 👴🏫

🎨✨Some of Mrs. Geggus's art classes at Oakland had an exciting visit from the zoo this week! 🦉 Natalia, a zoo staff member (and former Oakland Owl), brought along a falcon and an owl, to help inspire their next art project: drawing these beautiful birds! 🦅🎨. 🖌🦅 Students had the opportunity to learn about these birds and ask lots of questions- this was definitely a memorable lesson!

Every week the "Out of the Blue" prize cart makes the rounds in BJHS and this Friday it made a stop in the 6th grade halls. Students are nominated by teachers for displaying Knight spirit and Knight values.
